As a call center employee, though, you have to remember the ratio of management to employees, and realize that there are always going to be fewer advancement opportunities. answer: ARO offers several different avenues for you to pursue as a career:
Customer Service: You will be answering inbound and outbound calls. To qualify for this position you must have extensive customer service background and skills. You must be able to type efficiently and accurately. There is no cold calling or telemarketing within the position.
Premium Auditors: ARO has 2 kinds of auditors working for our clients. There are phone auditors and physical auditors. Phone auditors conduct premium audits for Property and Casualty Insurance, (general liability and workman’s compensation). The audit is strictly conducted over the phone with all documents and materials enter via our websites) The physical audits basically cover the same areas of work, while completing the majority of the audit over the phone, with a final physical walk through of the company.
Sales: The overall responsibility of the Sales Representative for ARO is to maximize sales and growth of our insurance and finance service division. There will be approximately 10% travel with this job opportunity. ARO’s virtual business model allows organizations to improve their bottom line while maintaining better relationships with the client base. Duties include making presentations on ARO’s outsourcing offering, managing and promoting relationships with clients in targeted areas of the US.
B2B Marketing/Telesales Representatives: You would be up selling current products for our clients to their customer base. Sales experience required and you must possess great customer service skills.
2. Are all of the positions customer service oriented positions?
answer: Yes, you must possess great customer service skills. ARO strives to have the highest of quality when it comes to the customer services we provide.
3. Are there performance evaluations with the position?
answer: Yes, we do performance evaluations that involve quality assurance, monitoring, and skills. Management is responsible for providing you with your performance evaluations.
4. What kind of management and computer support will there be available if I have questions?
answer: We have several management team members that are here at all times to answer your questions. We also have a full technical staff available.(basic PC support, connectivity issues and company applications)
answer: No, you must have a high-speed DSL or Cable modem connection for Internet.(Satellite is not compatible with ARO systems)
2. Do I need to get a second voice line to be able to work for ARO?
answer: No, you do not need to get a second voice line to be able to work for ARO, but you must have a dedicated voice line without call waiting (or disabled while working). You are directly connected to our phone systems while you are working, resulting in the inability to take personal phone calls during your shift.
3. Can I use my satellite Internet to work for ARO?
answer: We have found, that at the current time, satellite internet is not compatible with the systems ARO uses to conduct business, you will need to have high-speed internet with either DSL or Cable modem connection.
4. I am staying at home with my young children; can this job be conducted while caring for young children?
answer: No, you would need to find alternate care for your children while you are working your shift. ARO and its clients require there be no background noise while on the phones, due to the extensive customer service that the job entails. This includes small children, loud pets, loud electronics, adult care or anything of the like.
5. I currently have a cell phone that has Internet on it, is this compatible?
answer: No, you would need to purchase a landline phone before you could work remotely for ARO. You will also need a standard computer, laptop or desktop PC.
6. Currently I do not have high-speed Internet. Can I still be qualified for a position before I were to purchase the high-speed Internet?
answer: Yes, but to be able to be trained remotely you will need high-speed Internet. Local residents to the Kansas City area are trained at the corporate location; those employees have a little more time to obtain high-speed Internet, since they will be trained in-house.
7. Does ARO provide me with a computer?
answer: No, you must have a working PC with a minimum of Windows XP, 1.5 Mghz processor, 512 RAM & latest virus & spyware software.
8. Does ARO provide me with any equipment?
answer: No, ARO does ask that you use the same phone equipment that we use for all our employees. We use basic telephones with Plantonics amplifiers and headsets, you could use another brand. The headset equipment must have an amplifier as well as the headset. You can purchase this type of equipment at Best Buy or Office Depot to name a couple or look on-line. ARO does not provide QoS routers or modems required for using a VoIP phone. Not having that equipment could result in degradation of calls, resulting in suspension from work until resolved. (We also do not provide support for that service)
